Kedarnath is one of the most sacred pilgrimages of Lord Shiva situated in Rudraprayag district of Garhwal region in Uttarakhand. Kedarnath is one of the Char Dham in Uttarakhand and the most important Dham among Panch Kedar. Kedarnath is situated at an altitude of 3586 mts, in the lap of the majestic mountain peaks and near the head of river Mandakini, Kedarnath range stands one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.

The beautiful ambience around the temple looks like quite a peace on heaven causes a beautiful place to do meditation.The main attractions here is the Shiva Temple, which is a popular Hindu shrine and pilgrimage, attracting devotees from all over the world.

Tour Package Itinerary

Day – 1– Dehradun – Kedarnath

Early in the morning, we will arrange to pick up your hotel so you can join the helicopter at Sahastrdhara. After a short briefing, you will board on the helicopter for Sirsi. It will take 45 minutes to reach the Sersi helipad and further take a 6-minute flight to Kedarnath helipad, which is an altitude of 11500 meters. The temple is 500 mtr from the helipad. You are allowed to take 2 hours for the complete darshan. After darshan, fly back to Sirsi. At Sirsi board on the helicopter for Dehradun.

After reaching the Dehradun, our staff provide your vehicle for airport/railway station/bus station.

Other Travel Guidelines for Passengers

1. Fixed Departure

• Helicopter departure timings are fixed. Pilgrims must report on time. Late arrivals will be considered as "No-Show," and no refund will be given.

2. COVID-19 Guidelines

• All pilgrims must follow COVID-19 protocols as per government rules.

3. Passenger Seating Capacity

• Each helicopter can carry 6 pilgrims + 1 crew member.

4. Weight Restrictions

• The total weight limit for the helicopter is 450 kg. Pilgrims must provide their correct weight at the time of booking.

• If the weight exceeds 450 kg, some pilgrims may be asked to deboard, and no refund will be given.

• Overweight charges of INR 1500/kg will apply for pilgrims weighing over 75 kg, but the total weight must not exceed 460 kg.

5. Bad Weather and Force Majeure

• Flights may be delayed or canceled due to bad weather, technical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.

• No compensation will be provided for accommodation, meals, or transportation in such cases.

• If flights are canceled for 5 consecutive days, a full refund will be given.

6. Medical Emergencies

• Pilgrims with medical conditions like high/low BP, heart problems, or diabetes should consult their doctor before the trip.

• Thumby Aviation is not responsible for any medical emergencies during the yatra.

7. COVID-19 or National Emergency

• If pilgrims test COVID-positive before travel or if the yatra is canceled by the government, no refund will be given.

• However, pilgrims will receive a credit voucher valid for one year, which can be used for future tours.

Cancellation

Cancellation Policy

• More than 15 days before travel : 30% cancellation charges.

• 8 to 15 days before travel : 50% cancellation charges.

• 7 days or less before travel : No refund.

• No-Show : No refund.

Refund Policy

• If the yatra is canceled due to bad weather or force majeure, pilgrims will get a 25% refund for each unutilized sector (Dham), minus INR 15,000 per passenger for flight preparation and ground arrangements.

Kedarnath Helicopter Tour Itinerary in Short

1. Arrival in Dehradun

• You will arrive at the Sahastradhara Helipad in Dehradun, where our team will welcome you.

2. Shri Kedarnath Ji Darshan

• The helicopter will take you from Dehradun to Kedarnath in just 35-40 minutes.

• You will get VIP Darshan at the Kedarnath Temple, which will take about 1 to 1.5 hours.

• After the darshan, you will return to Dehradun by helicopter.

3. Farewell and Final Transfer

• You will be dropped back at the Sahastradhara Helipad in Dehradun.

• Accurate Body Weight of Each Pilgrim (This is very important for weight calculations).

• Final COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (Mandatory for all pilgrims).

Guidelines for Pilgrims

1. Luggage Restrictions

• Each pilgrim can carry only 1 handbag (maximum 5 kg). Suitcases are not allowed due to limited space in the helicopter.

• Extra luggage can be stored in the hotel cloakroom in Dehradun.

2. Safety Precautions

• Carry a medical kit, a small oxygen bottle, and sports shoes for safety.

• Bring woolen clothes as temperatures can drop to 10°C or lower at night.

3. Children’s Policy

• Children above 2 years will need a full ticket.

• Children below 2 years can travel for free, but proof of age and weight is required.

4. Physical Fitness

• Pilgrims must be physically fit for the journey. Light exercises and jogging are recommended before the Kedarnath helicopter trip.

5. Photography Rules

• Photography inside the temples is not allowed.

• Cameras are allowed only in the Himalayan ranges.

6. VIP Restrictions

• This kedarnath tour is not available for VIPs like ministers, judges, or high-ranking officials.
