The shrine of Yamunotri is situated at an altitude of about 3185 mts is a point of paramount religious importance for Hindus and an essential pilgrimage. Yamunotri is famous for its thermal springs and glaciers is a part of famous Char Dham Yatra. Yamunotri is the source of the Yamuna river. The actual source of the frozen lake is ice & glacier (Champasar glacier also known as Yamunotri Glacier) located on the Kalind mountain at the height of 4421 m above sea level, about 1 km further up.

Tour Package Itinerary

Day – 1 – Dehradun to Yamunotri

Early in the morning, we will arrange to pick up your hotel so you can join the helicopter at Sahastrdhara. After a short briefing, you will board on the helicopter for Kharsali (Yamunotri). It will take a half-hour to reach the Kharsali. From here the Gangotri temple is approx 6 km which you will cover on Palki. VIP darshan will be arranged by us. After the darshan, you will be brought down to the helipad at Kharsali. You can take lunch here or after the flight. Board on the helicopter for Dehradun. After reaching the Dehradun, our staff provide your vehicle for airport/railway station/bus station.
